Objective
To view and discuss topics related to NOVA videos. Materials Procedure
We use the SMART board interactive whiteboard to show videos and to toggle back and forth to class notes. Students are encouraged to identify key ideas at intervals throughout the online videos. Additionally, the SMART board allows you to pause videos and highlight images by drawing on the screen. Classroom Tips
I occasionally open a subject with a NOVA video then show the same video again after approximately a week. The first showing serves as a teacher-guided discussion; the second showing features students sharing the connections they have made throughout a week of study on the subject. Sent in by
