Over the past ten years Dan Edge has produced and directed documentaries in more than twenty countries, covering the homecomings of troubled veterans, the Japanese nuclear disaster, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the rise of the Pakistani Taliban, the Nepalese civil war, terrorist links to London gangs, the CIA rendition program, Washington’s response to the September 11 attacks, and the Northern Ireland peace process.

Documentaries he has produced and directed have earned every major award in broadcast journalism, including Emmys, a Peabody, and two Columbia duPont Awards in the United States; and a BAFTA and Royal Television Society award in the UK.

In 2011 he was awarded the Peter McGhee Fellowship by WGBH, which honors an individual whose work reflected excellence, intelligence, fairness, passion and scholarship. The same year, he directed and produced Kill/Capture, a film about the secret campaign to take out thousands of Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters.

In 2010, Edge directed, produced and filmed The Wounded Platoon for PBS Frontline and the BBC, an exploration of the challenges faced by US soldiers on their return from war. Prior to that, he filmed extensively in the border areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan for the PBS / C4 film Children of the Taliban, which broadcast in 2009 and was awarded an Emmy for best international documentary. He produced and directed the BBC / PBS series on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Elusive Peace, which was broadcast in October 2005.
