Sennott Discusses Egyptian Revolution’s “Second Wave”

“What you see in Egypt now is fatigue, but not a loss of hope,” Charles M. Sennott told the PBS Newshour‘s Margaret Warner on last night’s broadcast. He was there to talk about the special report, “Egypt’s Unfinished Revolution”, that we launched yesterday with GlobalPost.

In July, Sennott and FRONTLINE producer/cameraman Tim Grucza returned to Tahrir Square and caught up with key leaders from the Muslim Brotherhood and the April 6 movement — whom we profiled in our film Revolution in Cairo – as well as ordinary citizens.  Six months after the fall of President Mubarak, Sennott depicts the growing divisions within the revolutionary movement and the emergence of its “second wave,” as protests against police brutality continued.
