FRONTLINE’s Fanning and Aronson Among “Most Powerful in TV News”

Congrats to FRONTLINE Executive Producer David Fanning and Series Senior Producer Raney Aronson-Rath, who are featured in news media magazine NewsPro’s annual “Most Powerful in TV News” issue:

When it comes to in-depth documentaries on subjects that often get sparse TV airtime elsewhere, PBS’s FRONTLINE has always led the pack. But changes made in the past year have only enhanced the impact of the 28-year-old show’s reporting, and provided a model for other slow-to-change public broadcasters to emulate.

The feature highlights recent changes at FRONTLINE, including our monthly magazine-format program, expanded Web and mobile presence, and increased collaborations with nonprofit news organizations and journalism schools.

Read more about others who made the list, including Fox News chairman Roger Ailes and Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, here [PDF].
