EVENING AT POPS throws open the curtain for its 35th year on PBS, as America's Orchestra, the celebrated Boston Pops, ushers in a brand-new season of musical magic.

This year, the Pops invites viewers to a very special celebration - conductor Keith Lockhart's 10th anniversary. Hosted by special guest Paula Zahn, the episode provides the rare opportunity to meet the man behind the baton, while treating everyone to unforgettable highlights from the past decade's amazing performances.

EVENING AT POPS then continues its tradition of bringing the best in music to the audience at home with guest stars including Vanessa Williams, Michael McDonald, and Kristin Chenoweth - just some of the exciting talent joining the Pops on stage. And Boston Pops Orchestra Laureate Conductor - the award-winning composer John Williams - is back for a tribute to the music of Hollywood, honoring Bernard Herrmann and Henry Mancini. It's a summer-long celebration that can't be missed.

The brand-new season of EVENING AT POPS begins Sunday, June 27, 2004 at 6PM (check local listings). In addition to five all-new episodes, this season's encores include Martin Short and the Cast of The Music Man, John Williams with Josh Groban and Lara Fabian, Ricky Skaggs, A Tribute to Jerry Herman, and A Tribute to Rodgers and Hart.
