Appraisal Transcript:
GUEST: My brother Steve had a great quilt collection, and he passed away in 2006, unfortunately, and we inherited his quilts. And this is one of the ones that he collected.
APPRAISER: Well, this is a wonderful quilt. It's called a feathered star, and it's a very, very difficult kind of quilt to make because you have all these little points that have to be perfectly aligned to make it work out.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: And on top of being a very difficult pattern that's done with beautiful blue and white colors, you also have a very nice border that's done with the little points that also takes a lot of time. And the quilting on this quilt is excellent. Right now, the quilt market is pretty slow and it's pretty depressed, but the quilts that are selling are the white background quilts like you're seeing right here. I would think that in today's market, for insurance, I would value this quilt at somewhere between $3,000 to $5,000.
GUEST: Really?
APPRAISER: Really.
