    Appraisal Transcript:

GUEST: My grandfather bought an old home in the '40s. He was up doing repairs in the attic, and he found this wrapped in tissue paper. He tried to return it to the original owner, who claimed not to know anything about it, so we ended up with it in our family.

APPRAISER: Well, it's a great example of a German Father Christmas figure, made around 1910. It's in very nice condition. There's a little discoloration to his face, but it's a great figure. He has a retail value of $2,000 to $2,500.

    GUEST: Wow, wonderful.
