    Appraisal Transcript:
GUEST: I started collecting dolls when I was little and my mom gave me this doll. And she got sick and so I didn't want to get rid of it and I really don't know that much about it.

APPRAISER: Okay, this is a Francois Gaultier French fashion doll from about 1880 to 1890. As you'll notice, it has a swivel head. This doll itself would be worth about $2,000, but what's fabulous about this doll is the original costume. This dress was made by a couturier person in Paris, and it's all original from head to toe. The wig is all original, the hat's original, and the dress is starting to shred.

    GUEST: Yes.

APPRAISER: So you should not take it anywhere anymore.

GUEST: Okay, that's the end of that.

APPRAISER: That's the end of that. The doll, with this fabulous costume, would retail for $4,000 to $4,500.

    GUEST: Wow, thank you.
