    Appraisal Transcript:
GUEST: Well, I found out that it's a piece of French cameo made by Gallè around the turn of the century.

APPRAISER: This is a fire-polished piece. You also have French sterling marks on it.

GUEST: Okay, I see one up there, okay.

APPRAISER: And if you look very, very closely, you can see that this was gilded at one time in a gold gilt, and it's kind of worn off, which over the years, that would happen. I don't feel that that hurts the value. Some people would prefer to have it regilded. For me, I love it the way it is.

GUEST: I like it that way.

APPRAISER: We have a wonderful mark on the bottom, the Gallè mark.

    GUEST: Oh, yes.

APPRAISER: And as far as value is concerned, for insurance, I would put this piece at $12,000.

GUEST: I didn't think it was quite that high. I'm thrilled.
