    GUEST: It was a gift to my dad on his graduation from high school. He graduated in 1939, and his mom finished it about 1938.

    APPRAISER: Well, I've always been enamored with these Hawaiian quilts. We don't see many of them. These quilts have long been prized by collectors. These are very valuable, so I'd estimate at auction the value would be somewhere between $15,000 and $25,000.

    GUEST: Oh, my! My papa would be happy to know that.
