    Appraisal Transcript:
GUEST: Well, I acquired it in the '50s.

APPRAISER: What did you have to pay for it?

GUEST: Probably somewhere in the $50 range.

APPRAISER: Okay, well, it's a Savage Navy model. Two-piece wooden grips. The gun was manufactured in Middletown, Connecticut, probably between 1861 and 1865.

    GUEST: Mm-hmm.

APPRAISER: There's still quite a bit of bluing left on the barrel. At auction, I would probably put this in the $2,500 to $3,000 range.

    GUEST: Mm-hmm. Yeah.

    APPRAISER: It's a great gun.
