    Complete Rules and Regulations for ANTIQUES ROADSHOW Ticket Applications

    1. General Rules

    Limit one (1) application, either online or postcard (but not both), per household.

    Limit two (2) tickets per household.

    Each applicant may only apply for two (2) tickets to one (1) event. At the event, each person may only use one (1) ticket.

    Each applicant may only apply to one (1) of the six (6) events of the season.

    By applying for tickets, applicants acknowledge compliance with these rules and regulations including all eligibility requirements included herein.

    2. How to Apply for Tickets

    No purchase necessary to apply for tickets.

    All applications become the property of the producer of ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, WGBH Educational Foundation ("WGBH") and will neither be acknowledged nor returned.

    Apply Online: Individuals may apply for tickets online with a valid email address commencing on January 7, 2013 by completing the electronic ticket application form available on the Internet via http://pbs.org/antiques (the "ANTIQUES ROADSHOW website"). All applications via the ANTIQUES ROADSHOW website must be received by no later than 11:59pm ET, April 8, 2013.

    As part of the online application process, each applicant will be required to submit an electronic form confirming his or her eligibility.

    Each applicant must input all required data on the ticket application form. Incomplete or inaccurate entries shall be deemed void.

    Canadian residents applying via the ANTIQUES ROADSHOW website must correctly answer the question about ANTIQUES ROADSHOW that appears on the application page.

    Apply Via Postcard: Alternatively, individuals may apply for tickets by sending a postcard only (e.g., no envelopes, letters, overnight, or other packages), which shall be no smaller than 3.5 x 5 inches and no larger than 4.25 x 6 inches to:

    Canadian residents applying by postcard must include a valid answer to the following question on the postcard: What are the names of two (2) appraisers who have appeared on ANTIQUES ROADSHOW?

    All applications via postcard must be received by no later than April 8, 2013.

    Each postcard application must include the applicant's name, address where applicant resides, city, state, and postal code. If you cannot receive mail where you live, you must also include your mailing address. Any postcards that are illegible, incomplete, or inaccurate shall be deemed void.

    Postcards, letters, or other cards sent inside envelopes or packaging will not be accepted.

    Applicants may include a preferred entrance time (either morning, midday, or afternoon), although WGBH cannot guarantee the entrance time requested by the applicant.

    If you apply by postcard, you affirm that by mailing the postcard you are eligible to enter the application process as stated in these complete rules and regulations. In the event WGBH cannot confirm applicant's eligibility, said applicant's entry shall be deemed void.

    WGBH will determine at its sole discretion which applications will be accepted, discarded, and/or selected. WGBH's decision is final.

    Any applications received before or after the above application period (whether online or by postcard) are void.

    3. Applicant's Contact Information

    (a) Opt-In Box (checked): By leaving the Opt-in box on the online ticket application checked, applicant agrees that applicant's contact information, including name, address, and e-mail address provided by applicant in the application may be collected and stored by WGBH or its agent and may be used by WGBH to contact applicant; and that such information may also be given to PBS and its member public television stations, including WGBH, and/or the sponsors and licensees of ANTIQUES ROADSHOW so that they may contact the applicant regarding their products or services.

    If an applicant decides at a later date that such applicant wishes to have WGBH remove the applicant's contact information from this list, the applicant may e-mail WGBH at antiques_roadshow@wgbh.org with the word "REMOVE" in the subject line and indicating such applicant's name and address in the body of the e-mail. Removal of applicant's name will be accomplished as is reasonably practicable.

    (b) Opt-In Box (un-checked): An applicant who "un-checks" the Opt-In box on the online ticket application agrees that applicant's contact information, including name, address and e-mail address may be collected, stored, by WGBH or its agent and used by WGBH to contact applicant regarding the ANTIQUES ROADSHOW event for which applicant has applied for tickets, but applicant's contact information will not be given to any third parties for the purpose of contacting applicant.

    (c) By submitting an application by postcard, each applicant agrees that his/her contact information may be collected and stored by WGBH or its agent and may be used by WGBH to contact applicants and may be shared with PBS and its member stations for the purpose of contacting applicant.

    4. Applicant Eligibility

    Ticket application is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States of America, its territories and possessions, and the District of Columbia or Canada, who, at the time of applying for tickets, are at least eighteen (18) years of age. Ticket application is void where prohibited by law.

    Applications will not be accepted from officers, directors, employees, or agents of the Public Broadcasting Service, its local public television stations, WGBH, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW's national sponsors, or their respective parents, divisions, subsidiaries, and/or affiliated companies, licensees, advertising, and promotional agencies, or immediate family members (including, without limitation, spouse, parent, child, and sibling), or those living in the same households, whether or not related, of such individuals.

    Applicants selected to receive tickets must prove eligibility to the satisfaction of WGBH including verification of age and residence.

    5. Ticket Selection, Notification, and Distribution

    Successful applicants will receive two (2) tickets to the event applied for. Out of the total number of applications received, three thousand (3,000) applicants will be selected, each of whom will receive two (2) tickets per location visited while supplies last. (A total of six thousand (6,000) tickets will be distributed per event location.)

    Applicants who receive tickets are selected in a random drawing from among all eligible applications received during the entry period. Chances of being selected to receive tickets will depend on the overall number of eligible applications received. Applications by postcard have the same chance of selection as applications via the ANTIQUES ROADSHOW website.

    WGBH will not notify applicants regarding the status of their application, however applicants who have applied online will be able to check their application status after April 30, 2013.

    Regardless of method of entry (i.e., online or by postcard), drawing will be conducted by WGBH on or about April 16, 2013.

    Tickets will be mailed to those selected to receive tickets approximately three (3) weeks prior to the applicable event date. WGBH, is not responsible for tickets delayed or lost in the mail.

    Tickets are for personal use only, have no commercial or retail value, and resale is strictly prohibited. Applicants acknowledge that the unlawful or unapproved resale of tickets is grounds for seizure and cancellation of that ticket, and WGBH reserves the right to refuse admission to any person found to have bought or otherwise acquired a ticket through any means which does not conform with the Complete Rules and Regulations for ANTIQUES ROADSHOW Ticket Applications.

    Ticket holders are responsible for their own transportation to the event and any and all other related expenses.

    Ticket holders must bring at least one (1) and no more than two (2) items for appraisal in order to be admitted to the event. WGBH, is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen articles.

    Tickets received by applicants will grant admission only to the applicable ANTIQUES ROADSHOW event on the date and at the specific location specified on the ticket, no substitutions allowed.

    6. Disclaimer of Warranties/Release Limitation on Liability:

    WGBH makes no, and disclaims all, warranties, guarantees, and/or representations, express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, merchantability, of the tickets.

    WGBH is not responsible for any bodily or personal injury, property damage, or any other loss resulting from use or attempted use of the tickets.

    WGBH is not responsible for applications that are incomplete, illegible, lost, delayed, mutilated, or misdirected. WGBH is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions, human error, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of entrants on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof. Although WGBH attempts to ensure the integrity of the application process, WGBH is not responsible for the actions of applicants in connection with the application process, including applicant's attempts to circumvent these rules.

    By entering the ANTIQUES ROADSHOW ticket application, each applicant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the ticket drawing, or any ticket awarded, will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (2) under no circumstances will any applicant be permitted to obtain any award for, and each applicant hereby and expressly waives all rights to seek punitive, incidental, consequential or special damages, lost profits and/or any other damages, and/or any rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased; and (3) each applicant's remedies are limited to a claim for money damages (if any) and each applicant irrevocably waives any right to seek injunctive or equitable relief.

    In the event WGBH is prevented from: (i) continuing with the application process and/or (ii) conducting and holding the event for which applicant has secured tickets; in both cases by any event beyond its control, including but not limited to fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, communications or equipment failure, utility or service interruptions, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared) or any federal state or local government law, order, or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within WGBH's control (each a "Force Majeure" event or occurrence), WGBH shall have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the application process and/or the event for which applicant has secured tickets.

    In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by WGBH, One Guest Street, Boston, MA 02135, are final and binding.

    Caution: any attempt by an applicant or any other person to damage any website, tamper with the application process, or otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of the ANTIQUES ROADSHOW Ticket Application may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, WGBH reserves the right to cooperate in the prosecution of any such persons and to pursue all remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

    For a list of those applicants receiving tickets for the city in which you applied, send an email from a valid email address before May 31, 2013 to antiques_roadshow@wgbh.org, specifying in your email the city location for which you'd like to receive the ticket winners' list.
