Uncle Matty Q+A
Question:
I have a "guy" question to ask. My dog is not neutered and I am trying to decide what to do. It seems only fair that my dog should have a little fun before he has the surgery, and besides, the idea of this type of operation makes me a little uneasy.

Answer:
Get over it! For medical reasons, it is important to have your dog neutered and it is your responsibility as a dog owner to make sure you dog does not father unwanted puppies. Also, a neutered dog is less aggressive.

Neutering your dog should not be a issue tied to your masculinity. If you want to raise puppies as a profession, don't have your dog neutered, but if you do not want to be a professional breeder, there is no reason not to neuter. The operation will be painless and it will not rob your dog of a full life.

It is time to start considering your responsibilities on a larger scale than your manliness. There are millions of dogs in a variety of shelters across the country because of people who decided not to have their dogs neutered or spayed. So get the situation in hand and take your dog to the vet as soon as possible.
