When I was young, my family owned an unruly but wonderful basset hound. My mother was very fond of planting marigolds in long neat rows beside the house. And the dog was fond of digging them all up before we got home from school (Mom, too--she was the principal). Anyway, Mom had the idea one day to create the "No-no Box." Every day before school my brother and I would sit out back and decorate a cardboard box with markers. Then we'd stuff it with old newspaper and tell the dog, "No, no, don't touch." Every day we'd come home to find the box strewn from one end of the yard to the other--but the marigolds remained untouched!!!
