The facilitator should begin the activity by posting the following quote and questions on their blog:
It was once said by a civil rights leader that the last leg in civil rights is financial literacy.

  1. What do you think this means and what is your reaction to this statement?
  2. What do you think is the relationship between civil rights and financial literacy? Between freedom and financial literacy?

Have each participant visit your blog and submit their answers to these questions online.

Facilitator Tip: Some blogging sites will require the participants to create an account to be able to do this.

The facilitator should post four more blogs asking the participants to define the following four terms in their own words and add their own thoughts:
Financial Literacy
Freedom
Civil Rights
Financial Security

After each participant has had a chance to submit their answers in all four areas, as a group read through everyone's thoughts and discuss.
