STORYTELLER: mother LOCATION: Lancaster, South Carolina YEAR TOOK PLACE: 1895
TELLER'S PLACE OF ORIGIN: Lancaster, South Carolina HOW HEARD: Oral History

My great grandmother Lillie Frink and one of her sisters were pregnant at the same time, Lillie told her sister that the child she was carrying would live but Lillie would die. The child the sister was carrying would die but, her sister would live and raise Lillie's child, Mary Ellen Douglas, my grandmother. I am now doing an ancestry search on the Frink and Douglas families, but there are no public records found so far. My mother and siblings were very young when their mother died and they have no other information on their ancestry, names were pronounced or spelled so differently that I'm only hitting brick walls.
