I've been tracing my grandparents roots from Mexico and was very surprised to find slavery there until early 1800's. We had no idea we had Mulato slave roots and had always thought ourselves Indian and Spanish only. The three lines can be traced back to mid 1600's so the show explaining slavery during that time period touched me deeply expanding my understanding and world.
