I was informed that the Lieteaux's came from France. When they arrived they changed their name to Lieteau. The Lieteau's were very wealthy and had a plantation of slaves. They also owned a lot of real estate. It was said that the master had relations with a slave and that is how blacks entered into the family. That is where the story ends. I am interested in seeing the land that the Lieteau's owned and the plantation that has now been bought by the state of Louisiana.
