MY MOTHER TOLD ME WHEN I WAS YOUNGER THAN I'M NOW, THAT I HAD AN UNCLE WHO 'S NAME GEOGRE MOORE , HAD GOT IN AN ARGUEMENT WITH AN WHITEMAN DURING THE JIM CROW ERA . THIS WHITEMAN HAD CALLED MY UNCLE GEORGE, OUT OF HIS NAME JUST NO RESPECT WAS GIVEN TO MY UNCLE. SO WHEN MY UNCLE STOOD UP TO THIS WHITEMAN HE GOT VERY UPSET AT MY UNCLE AND HIT HIM. WELL I WAS ALSO MY UNCLE HAD VERY LITTLE LIKES FOR WHITE PEOPLE AT ALL BECAUSE THEY USE TO BE TREATED BY THOSE WHITEFOLKS. SO MY UNCLE KNOT THE HELL BACK OUT OF THAT WHITEMAN.BUT IT WAS SOME TROUBLE I WAS BEHIDE THAT FOR HITTING THAT WHITEMAN . THEY HAD TO GET MY UNCLE OUT OF THE STATE OF LOUISIANA. BECAUSE A MOB OF WHITEMEN WAS COMING FOR HIM THAT NIGTH . THAT WAS TOLD TO OUR FAMILY BY ANOTHER WHITE GUY WHO I WAS TOLD KNEW OUR FAMILY HE CAME RUNNING I WAS TOLD TO UNCLE GEORGE, DAD AND MOM TELLING THEM TO GET UNCLE GEORGE , OUT OF TOWN TONIGTH BEFORE THE SUN SET. BECAUSE HE WILL BE KILL. SO MY FAMILY GOT HIM OUT BY LOADING HIM UP UNDER A TRUCK COVERING HIM VERY GOOD AND SHIPPED HIM TO THE NEARS TRAIN STATION WHERE MY UNCLE GEORGE, CAUGHT THE TRAIN TO CALIFORNIA, AND THAT WHERE HE STAY FOR MANY YEARS . I USE TO HEAR MY FAMILY TALK ABOUT ME HAVING ANOTHER UNCLE NAMED UNCLE GEORGE, WHO I HADN'T MET DURING MY SUMMER VISITS IN THE COUNTRY AREA OF LOUISIANA. AND I WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT HIM SO I ASKED MY MOTHER ALSO MY GRANDMOTHER AND THIS IS WHAT I HEARD OF MY UNCLE GEORGE. AND I DID GET TO MET HIM WHEN I WAS YOUNG WOMAN ABOUT 20 OR 19 YEARS OLD.I ALSO LIKE TO FINE MORE OF MY POLK FAMILY MY E-MAIL ADDRESS IS *** AND I LIKE TO MEANTION I 'M BETTER KNOWN BY MY BIRTH NAME MORE "CELESTINE POLK".
