My aunt sent me a handwritten info. Person County, North Carolina Durham, North Carolina I heard the story from my cousin who research our family history

My great great great grandfather on my father's side was name Percy Smith. He was a mulatto that owned a horse, some acres of land, a potato patch, a pig, some chickens and had 5 dollars in the bank. His wife, was also a mulatto and they both could not read or write. They lived in Percy County, North Carolina. We are continually searching for more information on our family history, it's a challenging but rewarding experience.
