While researching the genealogy of the Eunice Yeomans, wife of William Loudon a Drum Major in the Revolutionary War (1776-1783), I discovered that she was a descendant of Capt Yeomans, who brought one of the first slave ships into Norwich, Connecticut in 1635. I knew that my ancestory went back fairly far back into American history but never thought that I would be a descendant of a Captain of a Slave Ship, who brought such misery upon so many. [Eunice's mother was a descendant of the founders of the Congregational Chuch into Connecticut.]
