Felicia Mathis

I grew up never knowing anything about my maternal grandmother. I wanted to get to know her and learn all about what made her such a strong woman which was passed down to me and I passed it down to my boys.

I was listening on the phone to my mom tell her nephew all about his mom and dad and never really heard my mom talk about her own story. I set out to know who I am and where I came from. Researching my family’s history has been so exciting and educational for me. There is nothing more rewarding to me than to put the pieces of my tree together one leaf at a time.
