Yes. I come from a largely white NYC suburb. Folks like Dr. Gates educate by making the complex simpler and bringing stories and history to life visually. People like Congressman Lewis and their belief in Love as a society, inspired me to become involved in local politics. Between those men as a foundation, the civil rights leaders and the teachings of Dr King – as well as those who embraced this necessary progression along the way, we have evolved as a society. Of course there are still many bumps in the road. It is about empowering everybody, and also about learning something new. Expanding minds and horizons, and the sky is the limit for all of us.
