Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - 1786

When Figaro learns from his fiancée that their boss, Count Almaviva, is trying to woo her, Figaro promises to get even. At the same time the Countess is discouraged by her husband's waning affection. With encouragement from Figaro and Susanna, the Countess plots against the Count by deciding to send Cherubino, disguised as Susanna, to a romantic assignation with him. Various characters change costumes, which result in the Count seeing, or so he thinks, Figaro with the Countess. The comedy that ensues is farcical. In the end, the Count sees the error of his ways and begs his wife's pardon. All are happy.
