Bryan Cranston plays blacklisted Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo in director Jay Roach’s 2015 biopic, Trumbo. The U.S. government's anti-Communist witch hunt could have destroyed him, but Trumbo continued to write under pseudonyms until the blacklist ended.
