I’m loving this series. It’s wonderful to hear these personal stories, and to have what I felt about John and Yoko validated.

I fell in love more with him when he did his solos stuff, it’s raw genius. Yoko’s lyrics are powerful and have so much depth, that it’s easy to see what she gave to him. John needed a strong woman like Yoko, and she gave him so much…. theirs was a true love story. It was painful to hear how much pain he was in when they were apart, but I think she knew he needed to grow up, and for him to do that, she needed to be away from him. And as evidenced by his life with her after that period, he did mature, was a happier man, and had a better relationship with Yoko afterwards.

i have thought so many times about what he said in the end about how hard it must have been, and must still be for Yoko.
    wonderful interview… thank you.
