For the last decade of his life John Lennon was an iconic solo artist, and it was in America – most of it in New York City – where the vast majority of his solo work was created.
Since its founding in 1967, the Negro Ensemble Co. has produced more than two hundred new plays and provided a theatrical home for more than four thousand cast and crew members.
For more than a decade the group of tastemakers met daily at New York City’s Algonquin Hotel. They came to be known as the Algonquin Round Table and changed forever the face of American humor.
