Thirteen/WNET – with major funding from the Rockefeller Foundation – presents Blueprint America, an unprecedented multi-platform initiative that harnesses the power and reach of public broadcasting to shine an unyielding spotlight on this issue that is so critical to our quality of life and economic security.

PBS’s most prestigious and most-watched news and public affairs programs, as well as several
public radio outlets, are producing individual reports on the topic of America’s infrastructure. These partner programs include:

THE NEWSHOUR WITH JIM LEHRER
For 30 years, millions of Americans and citizens of the world have turned to McNeil/Lehrer Productions for the reliable reporting and analysis that has made the NewsHour one of the most trusted programs in television.
NOW on PBS
Called “one of the last bastions of serious journalism on TV” by the Austin American Statesman, this series occupies a unique place in the American television landscape. Through documentary segments and interview with original thinkers, NOW goes beyond the noisy churn of the news cycle and gives viewers the context to explore their relationship with larger world.
WORLDFOCUS
This ambitious nightly news program focuses on international stories and issues often overlooked by the American media.

I’ve searched the local listings for WorldFocus and find that my local PBS station does not offer it. This is not surprising – this is a very conservative, even repressive, area. What can you do to encourage it’s broadcast here? And is it offered or can you offer it online? Thanks.

This anchor is terrible: a cross between Ted Baxter and Gary Muledeer in his delivery. Can’t you find someone less pompadoured and ridiculous?
