BLUEPRINT AMERICA -- December 31st, 2008

The Big Fix
Overview

The proposals are coming fast and furious from Washington: fix the economy and generate jobs by repairing and rebuilding the nation’s crumbling infrastructure.

Blueprint America: The Big Fix, with host David Brancaccio (NOW on PBS), includes a special one-on-one discussion between Brancaccio and Paul Krugman, the winner of the 2008 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Science, professor of economics and international affairs at Princeton University, and op-ed columnist for The New York Times, to examine whether Washington’s recent announcements are a panacea for the economy, or potentially, just more bridges to nowhere.
