- Explore strategies for avoiding substance abuse and treatment options for users
Format:
- Screen excerpts from Program 3 -- The Teenage Brain: A World of Their Own.
- Invite local substance abuse counselor and teens in treatment to discuss addictions.
- Allow time for questions from attendees and response from panelists.
- Introduce Web site, www.pbs.org/brain, Web resources, and demonstrate how to use them for further exploration.

- Provide information on resources for diagnosis and treatment of schizophrenia.
- Provide information on support for patients' families.

- Invite local mental health professionals to discuss adolescent schizophrenia, its onset, symptoms, and treatment; and families with teens with schizophrenia.
