Mission: The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, deeply rooted in its native ground and holding the world’s largest collection of works by Grant Wood, is committed to collecting, preserving, exhibiting, and interpreting work by artists from the Midwest. The museum’s collection, research, publications, and educational programs are dedicated to enriching appreciation for historic and contemporary art from the vast mid-continent region. The museum is also dedicated to expanding the understanding of this art within the larger frameworks of American and international art.
