Mission: Homowo is dedicated to encouraging cultural understanding, promoting multigenerational family activities, fostering pride and self-esteem in the African and African-American communities and developing respect for all cultures through African performing arts, classes and forums.
Founder: Obo Addy, master drummer from Ghana, National Heritage Award winner and recipient of the master fellowship from the Oregon Arts Commission and the Regional Arts and Culture Council.

Vision: Homowo is working to increase touring especially to the East Coast of the United States and to Europe and to begin the planning for the creation of a school in Portland.
