Mission: Our goals are to: 1) stimulate understanding and appreciation of the arts and humanities by presenting high-caliber arts and cultural performances in Alaska's Capital city, and offer follow-up discussions when possible; 2) encourage creative expression and provide Juneau residents opportunities to explore their talents or interests in the arts and humanities by providing activities which have educational value to the participants, and by offering scholarships and grants; 3) foster the appreciation of the written and spoken word through our poetry and prose series; 4) provide arts opportunities for at-risk populations through our "Artshops," a program of workshops targeting young people in two low-income housing projects; and 5) advise public bodies on matters relating to arts and humanities.
