Christopher Phillips was born in Greenville, South Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Phillips is curator at New York's International Center of Photography, where he is organizing an exhibition featuring recent Chinese video and photography. His writings about contemporary art can be found in a variety of publications, including ART IN AMERICA, where he served as senior editor from 1989 to 2000.
Gregory Crewdson grew up in Park Slope, a neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. His work is part of collections at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Since 1994, Crewdson has taught art at Yale University.
