Independent filmmaker Craig Baldwin crafts "collage films" that take the viewer on a wild ride through the detritus of mass media and the film industry. In his pseudo, pseudo-documentary "Tribulation 99," Baldwin interweaves old sci-fi movies, commercials, news reports, and industrial films into a satiric rant against millenarianism, xenophobia, and CIA covert action. Part political activist, part film archeologist, Baldwin has found a way to subvert the traditional documentary form and create films that go beyond the wildest reaches of our imaginations.
