Flying may take him away from his home in Huntington, New York, but Capt. Joe Messina's never far from a piano. In fact, Messina has arrangements with piano dealerships across the country so when he has a layover he can practice. Messina is currently realizing a dream he shares with his wife: building a concert hall in his own backyard. EGG examines the hands of Joe Messina -- at the controls of a plane, wrapped around a hammer, and gracing the black and white keys.
