Stritch has survived 50 years in the American theatre and she pulls no punches and spares no one, especially herself. From her first Martini to years of alcoholism, from the hits (Sondheim's "Company") to the flops ("The Women," with Gloria Swanson), from an ill-fated first date with fellow acting student Marlon Brando, to her marriage to the love of her life, John Bay, Stritch sings and dances her collection of show biz memories with everything she's got. Sentimentality is banned; honesty is the commodity. EGG follows Stritch through rehearsal, backstage and into the spotlight.
