The Hartford Courant investigates a disturbing trend in the
mental health condition of military personnel sent to Iraq and
Afghanistan - suicide rates are up, and the military has inadequate
mechanisms to care for those in need of help.
I've recently been reviewing various media publications and reports regarding mental health and the military. I am currently enrolled in a Forensic Psychology Master's program and considering this topic for my disertation. I want to commend the investigation team for their efforts in bringing this story to the public. I look forward to viewing a follow up story on the how the military responds and the outcome.
