Terror on the Tracks
In his investigation of chemical transport security, Carl Prine criss-crossed the U.S. visiting cities from Seattle to Atlanta. He followed the rails, leaving his business card in vulnerable spots and occasionally hopping on train cars. His point: to prove if he could do it, so could someone with less benign designs. The map below indicates the vast array of tracks that traverse the country and indicates relative track density in each region. Prine has stories to tell about each of the railways he visited.
