finding your roots

members of large families

lois m. michaud April 9, 2012

i have been looking up my families for years, of course like most every one else you start with who and what you know, but boy i didn’t realize how big this family grows out to be.
here in new england i have found that the top three families i belong to are Pillsbury, Wentworth (i have at least two that were governers of N.H., another whom a local hospital is named for and which i have found in England and related to Henry the eight and others) and Libbey aka Libby whom own there own foundation when can be found on line.
i feel great just knowing i’m related but there seem like a lot of hole a long the way and barriers from time to time , but all in all i really enjoy the genealogy and the amazing things.
one of my 7th g.grandfather’s saving a whole garson in N.H. during one of the indian wars.
i had seveal more fight in other wars though out the years and each was special in their own ways.
i have others leave there post believing that the war was over but never being told to go home, he just took it that it was time to leave.
i have several that were famous for there bake goods not just Pillsbury but other.
my personal goal is to be my family genealogiest and know all i can about our families and pass it on. if there is someone any where that can help or would like to know more please contact me . thank you and this show is very good and i do enjoy the stories very much keep them up ,please. have a good day, lois
