It was whispered in his family that there was an English or Irish solider during “The Long Walk” that had relations with a grandmother, and his last name was taken after that. Very few records were kept during that time and we will probably never know, but my husband has a cousin and Aunt that are very light skined with light eyes. Our children have a rich cultural past to draw from, but we are sad that we wont be able to explain the origin of Morris with any certainty.
