Paternal Matriarch – Lucy Sanders Perry 1822-1912(children by Arthur Perry – identified as a caucasian man who rode away on a horse in 1865 when black Union Troops occupied Goliad) Joe Perry – Lucy’s son and my great great grandfather, had two sisters Sylvia Perry Sapenter and Philis Perry Best(Rev. Cecil Williams of Glide Memorial Church San Francisco is her descendant) Joe married Susan Adams who bore him many children, one was my great grandfather Arthur Perry, who married Mayola Lott, who bore him many children, one being my grandfather Otis Perry (Still living and will be 91 June 17th) Otis married Eddie May Gentry, who bore him many children, including my father Edwin Lee Perry. Edwin married my mother Carol Ann Scott(Noble) who bore him me, thier Eldest, my sister Erica and my brother Elton, they divorced in 1977. I married Rana Denise Robinson and have twin sons Edward Burkley II and Elijah Braxton. The recorded history of my mother Carol’s family. Begins with Dave Spriggs and Luisa Boxley Spriggs, thier son Dave Spriggs was my great great great grandfather, he and Minnie birthed my great great grandfather Andy Spriggs, he and Frankie Elmo Rimm bore my great grandmother Lois Lorraine and she and Jobie King bore my grandmother Frankie Elmo, and she and Sterling Noble bore my mother Carol Ann.
My Matriclan DNA reveals a match with the Mende and Temne people of Sierra Lene. My Patriclan DNA showed matches for the Perry’s in Great Britain, Ireland, Scottland, France, Australia and South Africa. Both sides of my family were featured in the documentary and book entitled “Crying for Daylight” a story of the original Texas Cowboys. My home Goliad boast the oldest Spanish Mission to date, The Presidio LaBahia and is the site of very strategic events in the history of Texas Independence from Spain.
