Early Texas settlers
Hello, I have learned through a relative who has done some outstanding research that we are descendants of Juan Jose Manuel De La Garza Falcon who was the grantee of the “San Francisco” land grant, consisting of 20,721 acres (12,634 acres in present-day Duval County, Texas and 8,067 acres in present-day Jim Wells County, Texas) on July 6, 1832 from the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. My great grand mother was Celestina Falcon Saenz and she was the great grand daughter of Juan Jose Manuel De La Garza Falcon. I am attaching two documents, falcon family history showing family history in Texas and a document showing Blas Maria who was the first settler of Nueces County Texas. The Falcon family has a rich history in Texas and a rich history in the Spanish military. I am very proud of my heritage and would appreciate any feedback you may offer.
