Getting a Family on Valentine’s Day

Robin March 5, 2012

The parents of one of my cousins divorced when she was young, and although she knew he remarried and had children by his second wife, there was no contact with his family, so she grew up as an only child. She is now in her 60′s and has been wanting a family her whole life. On Valentine’s Day this year (2012), a man called her and said “Kathy, this is your brother.” He had traced her because of a four-generation photograph of her, her mother, her grandmother, and her great-grandmother that I had posted to a genealogy site. I love genealogy!
