One brick in the wall
After more than ten years, I have yet to learn of the roots of my great grandfather, Wesley Bunce. He was married and raised a family that had traditional values, religion, close ties.
He was the father of my father’s mother and I never met him. There was little discussion of these matters in our family, so I basically started with only his name. He is buried in Omaha with his wife, my great grandmother, Eliza. However, they never lived in Omaha. My mother had told me she thought he had died in Los Angeles, so, while working there on documents, I found two marriage records that named his parents. To date I cannot locate these people for sure, have never found him as a child living with them, and, for that matter, cannot learn where they lived together or if he, indeed, knew them. I cannot find possible siblings, birth records, anything. I have helped many people search for names/ancestors in indexes and documents, learning how to search effectively for possible transcription or spelling errors, but, here is my brick wall.
