In Memoriam
Dorothy Cullman

GREAT PERFORMANCES mourns the passing of one of our greatest champions and patrons, Dorothy Cullman.  From the very start of Thirteen/WNET in the 1960s, Dorothy and her husband Lewis have been major supporters of the station’s arts programming, and great believers in the role public television should play in American life.  In addition to many individual programs for GREAT PERFORMANCES and AMERICAN MASTERS, over the years Dorothy and Lewis have provided invaluable support for a diverse portfolio of culture and arts programming, including EGG the Arts Show; STAGE ON SCREEN: Beckett on Film; Broadway: The American Musical; Get Up, Stand Up: The Story of Pop and Social Protest; Simon Schama’s Power of Art; and Make ‘Em Laugh: The Funny Business of America.  Dorothy will be missed by her many friends at WNET.ORG and GREAT PERFORMANCES, but her memory will live on in the work we do.
