I just returned from the Cincinnati Symphony’s performance of Mahler 7. Maestro Jaarvi was phenomenal!!!
WONDERFUL
This website sucks. I want to watch full episode of Vienna Summer Concert 2011 and all I can find is the preview, and the page keeps looping from the contents list to the preview and I can’t find the full concert. Also it’s not on the page with the other concerts. I’ve watched several programs, Nova, American Experience, and I keep running into the same problems. When I bookmark a page to come back to a program, I don’t get the same page when I open the website again. The website is very, very confusing and could be laid out much better.

The reason why the Vienna Summer Night Concert 2011 full program is not on the website is because that program has not yet aired (it is scheduled to be broadcast Friday, August 19th @ 9:30pm – be sure to check your local listings). Once the program has aired, be sure to check back here to see if the program will be available for streaming. We also announce video postings on our Facebook page. Hope this info helps.

The first two times I accessed to watch Perre Boulez conduct Mahler’s 7th Symphony, I had no problem. But now I think I understand other people’s complaints. Now, instead of the screen which one would normally hit play and view, one gets a half screen, black and grey, with no option to hit a play, and the links did not lead to the 90 minute concert. Too bad for me because this was a college assignment.

Sun, the Set as Slider Background option will only show for jpeg and png images, while you are viewing the image. Let me know if that helps.
