Love LET THEM TALK …play it all the time! Can’t wait to see
Hugh on PBS, Sept. 30th Great Performances. Hope he’ll be playing
at some small clubs in the L.A. area. It would be great to see
him in person.
I love Hugh for what he has accomplished for himself. The other side of Hugh as a musician. Let Them Talk is just a start and I know it’ll be more to come from him.
I hope he can perform in Virginia somewhere, PLEASE let me know, I want to meet him in person.
This was a great interview. Loved it. > > Thanks
I can’t wait to see it.

This is the most exciting program to come along in ages. I loved Hugh Laurie in the Wooster and Jeeves series but never took his piano playing seriously until now. I am wondering why PBS isn’t selling the DVD but only the CD. Hearing is one thing, watching is another!
I agree and I want to purchase his video about his New Orleans recital. It was a star studded event and that man is extremely talented and versatile. A man for all seasons. I miss House! Is there a doctor in the house? Since his show ended I have been limping and need a cane! I won’t buy a motorcycle however. At 80 years old my spouse of 52 years won’t let me ride my bicycle. (shoot I can’t spell worth a darn!!)
Sounds good. I’ve heard him on thw tv show house play, but wow he is the man.
he is the sexest man on tv
!wow…think he is very…very…cool…look forward to this performance!
He is a good actor, his shows are interesting to me. He keeps me watching!
I had no clue as to his accent, could never really hear it on T.V. I love people with different accents. He should use it.
I love him on house my favorite show please keep making them ,Cant wait to see him on pbs,but he is something else on drugs miss them days he would have me cracking up laughing thats what make him a great actor
i love house from the first and hope this is not the last season for the show , house is a great actor and performance, every time my grand girls see him, they say grandma your boy friend is on, they know i love the show and i will set my recorder on for tonight. i cant miss this one.
hugh laurie is a great performer and narrator he catched the essence of blues ,can’t wait to buy his cd .we want to see him in person !but tonite with all those musicians tom jones, erma thomas, the backup band, perfecto!!!!
I LOVE Hugh Laurie…Plain and simple, that’s a fact……………….
What a wonderful side of Hugh Laurie that I did not know about. His intrepretation of these wonderful old jazz classics was amazing. St. James Infirmary was always a bit “dark” and “down” for me, but his version was beautiful.
Tom Jones’ performance was also a surprise for me. That style is surely not what I expected to hear from him; he was great!
Irma Thomas–what a great talent and wonderful ambassador for the city. How lucky we are that she has had the will and desire to stay here to pursue her career. I enjoyed her in her early days when she sang for the high school dances; she was great then and even greater now. Thank you, Irma.
I am lucky to be from N.O. and a Katrina survivor (not my house), but I am so happy that people like Hugh Laurie see the beauty of the city that those of us from here see. It is good to know that beauty is being shared with others who may have not had the opportunity to enjoy our unique city.
Just wanted to say that for me Hugh achieved the ultimate in the sense that I was able
to enjoy his musical talent totally separate from his notoriety.
What a gift! Hugh Laurie is such a talented individual. Being a musician myself, I can deeply appreciate his musical ability as well as his sensitive, soulful musicianship. Thank you for bringing this side of him to light. It will be a pleasure to follow his solo musical career.
LOVED IT!
How can I find that video to be able to watch the whole thing?
Hi Helen,
Go to the upper right hand corner of the page to the “In This Episode” box. There will be a link to watch the full episode directly beneath that header, then click on the center of the video to play.
Hope you found this info helpful.
