I only caught the last half, when will this be on again? My God, it was an amazing story!!
I saw the Show last Aug in NYC. As a composer & someone who loves stage productions I really connected with it, even though these wonderful artists are a generation younger than me. I missed the beginning of this TV broadcast. I’m hoping the first part showed more about the music preparation (i.e., band rehearsals, orchestration process, etc). If it did not, I am sorely disappointed. I also have a personal connection with a former schoolmate of Lin-Manuel’s and am especially excited about his success as well as the others.
This documentary is something that I have been waiting to see for about a month. While I have not seen ITH, I have been in love with the score and the story since its success at the Tony Awards last year. Living in Wisconsin does not provide me many opportunities to see live theater and being a full time college student prevents me from affording it. I was so excited about seeing this special that wrote it on every calendar in the house and set the DVR a week early, but to my surprise…it was not aired in our region. I’m not sure is this was an error in programming or if it was a blatant disregard for those that are actually interested in the arts. In its place was an Auction, I only hope this isn’t the case when it re-airs in June.
I would love to be able to show my students, many Dominican, this. When and where will it be on sale?

This is the documentary that turned me on to “In The Heights!” I absolutely LOVE the music! I’m finally going to see in in L.A. on July 10! I hope this documentary comes out on DVD because I would really like to own it!
Now that it is about to close on Broadway, can anyone tell me who holds the performance rights? We would like to consider staging it in our community theater overseas. I have searched high and low, written emails to the Richard Rodgers Theatre – 226 West 46th Street – New York, NY 10036, as well as to the official site, but no one seems to know. Nor do they respond. We love it here also. HELP!!!! Please…………….

With the closing of the Broadway show, I think that there is enormous demand for a DVD of this documentary. PBS, please consider releasing one!

For a while it was online that a movie version of In The Heights was to be filmed. My first hope was that like RENT, Memphis and others that the final performance was filmed and would be released on DVD for sale but unfortunately that did not take place. However I was still excited that this, one of my favorite plays would be made into a movie and that the public could still enjoy this production. It has been some time since reading anything about this? Where does the project currently stand.
