Jackie Evancho: Dream with Me in Concert
Highlights

In support of the release of Dream with Me, Great Performances presents Jackie Evancho in a solo concert that fully reveals the complete range and depth of this spectacular young talent. Watch highlights from the solo concert debut of the 11-year-old girl with the extraordinary soprano voice.

  • Lee Blumberg

it is hard not to feel the true emotions that Jackie can deliver in her ’song presentation’. She is truly an amazing artist that has a rare quality of connecting with her audience. What is equally impressive is her handling of the quick rise to celebrity status and her ability to communicate with the adults surrounding her. I wish her continued good luck and a special thanks to her parents for raising such a wonderful child.

  • Craig

Am disappointed that I cannot preview nor watch any of Great Performance materials because I am in Sweden. We do not get the program here in Sweden so I cannot understand why this is blocked from Sweden, unlike many other PBS programs. I pay my USA tax so I am most frustrated by this situation.

  • Miroslav Vejvoda

I love classical music, especially operas and the genre made accessible to general public by Pavarotti, and I love children. Jackie presents all that in a “small package”. This young artist is intriguing because of the inclusion of all these attributes: artistic perfection; grace, emotion, beauty, and dignity of presentation not seen by many adult artists; and choice of beautiful music. You are enriching our lives with all that – thank you, Jackie, you Little Angel…

  • Patrick Montague

We ask the heavens for a reason to smile these days and a precious gift in this “small package” is given to us. My hope is we have the humility and appreciation to embrace her as she embraces us! Jackie, your timing could not be better! Make us feel warm and hopeful. Thank you to Mike and Lisa Evancho for sharing Jackie with the world while keeping her grounded. God bless this family. Thank you David Foster for your foresight… you are the right one to help keep Jackie balanced. Sing Jackie! Sing you “Littlest Angel”!! :)

  • J William Johnson

Such a moving experience. The Houston concert start to finish is truly excelent. I believe august is going
to be very interesting . Thank you Jackie !!

  • Douglas Walker

This wonderful child is truly an angel; her voice is out of this world. I have played the PBS clips and Youtube clips so many times and each viewing brings tears. Please PBS when is this Great Performances showing coming on DVD. It will be a blockbuster. Jackie’s rendition of “Nessun Dorma” is just spine tingling. Have tickets for her shows in Ravinia and Dallas and am counting the days. She is wise far beyond her years; a truly amazing gift to us all. Thank you David Foster for guiding her, and for her wonderful family.

  • Robert O’Neil

Just listening to Jackies CD, while wonderful, cannot surpass a DVD. Don’t you think God did a dance around this girl when He created her? Absolute perfection in all respects. I have prayed and will continue to pray for this darling, that the prestige and money she will acquire will not change her as it does to so many.
Please Jackie, stay as sweet as you are.

  • Richard

Never bought music before now I paid $75 to get Jackie’s PBS-DWM DVD.

  • Therese

God is certainlly with her and may HE continue to guide her in all she does and KEEP her safe and not let the glorry and $$$$$$ change her. She is trully an awesome angel. I was overcome when she sang and America has Talent. God be with her .

  • Ricky Murph

Great Highlight video of Jackie’s performance on PBS Great Performances. Jackie is a great and amazing singer. I have watched many of Jackie’s youtube video. Jackie has mature greatly in her music and in her life. I could sat for hours and watch Jackie sing and perforum. I will be glad when PBS will have Jackie’s performance DVD on sale!!

  • Craig

I’ve heard or seen other very talented child performers and they have entertained and amazed me. But Jackie does so much more. She moves me in ways I can’t explain. She has said that she asks God to sing with her. I’m pretty much convinced that He does!

    7-31-2011
I NEVER KNEW ABOUT BGT UNTIL I HAPPENED UPON PAUL POTTS, SUSAN BOYLE, CONNIE TALBOT, & HOLLIE STEEL! THEN ON AGT, IT WAS FASCINATING LITTLE KAITLYN MAHER! ALL OF THESE PERFORM-
ERS WERE UNBELIEVABLE – SPELLBINDING! GREAT TALENTS! THEN WHILE SURFING ON MY COMPUTER,
ON AGT I ENCOUNTERED “JACKIE”! JUST LIKE MILLIONS, I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS VIEWING AND HEARING! I HAVE BEEN “ENCHANTED” WITH HER, AND HER SINGING EVER SINCE! THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT HER VOICE, HER DEMEANOR, & EXTRAORDINARY TALENT THAT, AS ONE JUDGE REMARKED, IS “HEAVENLY” !! I VIEW AND LISTEN TO HER SINGING ALMOST EVERY DAY! I AM A CHRISTIAN, AND HER SINGING IS LIKE A SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE – EVOKES A PEACEFULNESS AND AWE! I MUST CONFESS, IT IS AN ENJOYABLE “ADDICTION”! I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO SAY,THAT AFTER VIEWING HER SINGING SO MANY DIFFERENT SONGS, IT IS AMAZING THAT SHE REMEMBERS ALL THE LYRICS, AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD HER MAKE A MISTAKE – NOT ONCE! JACKIE IS A WONDERFUL
CONTRAST TO SO MUCH MUSICAL DISTORTION IN OUR PRESENT CULTURE! WE SHOULD ALL PRAY &
HOPE SHE WILL NOT BE CORRUPTED BY THE SECULAR ATTITUDES OFTEN FOUND IN SOME OF THE ENVIRONMENTS IN WHICH SHE WILL BE ACTIVE! HOW CAN ANYONE NOT LOVE HER – HER RESPECT FOR OTHERS & LIGHT HEARTED, JOYFUL MANNERISMS! THANK YOU, JACKIE!

  • Duvid Beluvid

Jackie, even when she sang at 10, singing Pie jesu and Babbino Caro, with Dave Foster, OUTSINGS ALL the GREATS ! The divas sing louder, but louder ain’t better, and none have the incomparable soft sweet pure lovely perfect angelic tone, like the “little diva”, Jackie, the Voice, Evancho ! Incredibly, she NAILS her first live concert, and actually sounds even better than her CD. I think because she wasn’t in a cramped studio, rose to the occasion, and had ROOM to let her Big Voice OUT ! If you check her yahoo pbs blog, grown men testify to crying soul relieving tears of joy, and atheist admit there must be a God. She killed the man only song Nessun Dorma, and Puccini is smiling sweetly and Pavarotti sings a duet with their Princess in Heaven. Her version of Lovers, Imaginer, Dark waltz, Nessun Dorma, Babbino Caro, PieJesu, Ombra mai fu, Nella Fantasia, Angel, and The Lord’s Prayer will haunt you forever. I must have the DVD, of her concert, because it is the wonder of all time ! FINIS !

  • Ian Lawton

I donated $100 to my local PBS Station to get the DVD of her Great Performances Dream With Me concert, and it was worth every penny. It will become a classic. This little angel is beyond definition. Her talent is so immense, that listening to her and watching her perform really can easily be described as a spiritual experience. Every PBS station in this country ought to be showing this Great Performances concert if they know what’s good for them.

  • Bill Drent

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PBS. Make this DVD available. This is too great a gift from God to keep from us….

  • Laureen Davis

Jackie was such a wonderful treat on this hot day in Missouri (108). Watching Jackie perform was truly amazing. At first I couldn’t believe that was her true voice. When I realized it was, I had to listen to the whole concert. David Foster is a genius for putting together this concert. From the dresses she wore to the wonderful camera angles, I want to say thank you to David, for all his input. Everything was elegant and classy!!

  • Deanne Benkert

Words can not express how beautifully Jackie sings and what a truely lovely child she is. Got her new CD as soon as it was released is the only thing on my car stereo. Watching her on AGT was truly magical esp. when she sang with Sara Brighton (I think she was better than Sara). Sorry AGT there will never be a talent like Jackie on your show again. A talent like her comes along once in a lifetime. She seems like such a sweet girl, fitting for the voice of an angel! If you notice after she sings she is so excited and pleased that people are clapping for her. This is such a refreshing change to see in these times when performers act like DIVAS OR BADLY BEHAVING SPOILED BRATS. Something else refreshing is that she dresses like a 11 year old girl!! Thanks to her parents for not trying to make her look like a sexy child/teen/adult. Jackie has been paired with David Foster, a perfect match. Watch Jackie’s youtube clip on the Britian’s Got Talent final – amazing!!!! PBS WHEN WILL YOU BE RELEASING JACKIE’S GREAT PERFORMANCE CONCERT ON DVD – I MUST HAVE IT!!!!

  • Diana Muhl

Shirley Larowitz with Member and Viewer Relations, Thirteen/WNETLeb was kind enough to email a response to our question if this program would ever air again. Apparently it is airing at least 3 more times, including Weds, August 3 at 8 pm, and Saturday, August 6 at 6 pm. But she didn’t mention which time zone. (Unfortunately, Rat Attack is airing at 8 pm this Weds. evening): Can anyone please help us before it’s too late? Thank you!

  • David Lessnau

I watched her on 20/20 and she seems like such a sweet little girl. I love her and wish her the best.

  • Anne M.

My neighbor called me to tell me of tonights airing of Jackie Evancho and David Foster on PBS. I was so taken aback by the voice that came from this little girl. Oh, how I believe that Angels walk amoungst us right here on Earth and surely she is one. She has been blessed with this remarkable voice and I feel blessed to have been serenaded by it. I lost my Mother recently and unbeknownst to me Jackie sang the song I chose for my Mothers memorial service …Angel, which of course, brought me to tears. And what a beautiful Venue to hold a concert like this. So, now I also feel a need to visit Florida so I can visit the John & Mable Ringling Museum. Thank you PBS for all of your contributions to make this possible and thank you for airing it again.

  • Eileen

Can you please tell me the name of the 16-yr old young man who accompanied Jackie on piano and on violin. He was amazing!!!

  • John Henson

Bravo! I’m in tears of exquisite rapture.

  • Adele

She is absolutely amazing! I can’t stop listening to her. Can’t wait for the DVD of this show!!! I think I have seen and heard everything that is on the web regarding Jackie (and more than once!). May she grace us for many years to come.

  • Marilyn

@Eileen, The young man that accompanies Jackie on piano and violin is Conrad Tao.

  • Carrol Anderson

I was enraptured with Jackie! If she is this talented at such a young age, what will she be like in adulthood? I hope I live long enough to find out!

  • G CAMP

Jackie’s DWM Great Performances Concert is being released on Sept 13, 2011 on DVD & CD. It is available on Amazon.com and other outlets through pre-order. I’m pre-ordering several (Christmas & Birhday Gifts)

Every Jackie Evancho fan should support this little angel and purchase more than one set. What great gift to give family and friends for Christmas or their birthday. Embrace her beauty and talent. We are all witnessing a most special gift. She surely warms the hearts of those who hear her lovely voice.

I am most envious of those people who have already personally heard little Miss Jackie sing – and those who will witness her talent from this day forward.

She is already known the world over – in such a short time. She has a warm, loving family who support, guide and protect her. She will be fine – and she has Our Lord to guide and watch over her. She will be fine – even as she grows and matures – of that I am sure. Our prayers help as well.

Where are the naysayers now those who should publish retractions about this amazing little girl with a great voice. Lip-sync, HA ! they have their heads hidden in shame. However-should still take time to say they were wrong just as fast as they were to point fingers!

  • ben Surbana

How grateful I am to be able to witness, along with all children of God, the voice of Jackie. Many may not know that the name ‘Jackie’ is derived from the name ‘John’ which means “God is gracious.” Yes, how gracious our God has been to us! Jackie is a sure sign that Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart shall triumph and Peace shall reign in our own hearts! All people of all faiths are destined to love one another, regardless of religious affiliation. The Perfect Love of God is present in this young girl’s voice….

  • Barry Iremonger

Just “absolutely amazing” one can say no more what a voice …:”absolutely amazing”

  • Sabra

    Isn’t she incredible?

I truly feel that God gave her a special gift “for such a time as this.”

Thank you, Jackie….from your #1 fan

  • Sabra

Yes, you are so correct~~ Jackie is mopping the floor with the rest of the world’s sopranos.

I am a soprano as well and some days feel like I should just pack my bags and go home. Then I remind myself, “Wait a minute– didn’t they just feature her on a program about ‘Super Humans’ ~ hello!” And I again join the rest of the mortals in song whilst this angel sings among the rafters. Rafters of HEAVEN, that is!

    It’s all good. We know…. ‘O)

  • dave bradford

Remember agt turned her down when she went to a live audition. The only reason she got on the show was because her parents submitted a you tube audition tape. Now agt claims they “discovered Jackie”. David Foster said Jackie was born on YouTube. At any rate, I am glad she has been discovered! I love when Jackie says before she sings she says a prayer. Jackie, YOUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!!!

  • Rebel

The voice that this young girl has is quite literally, a gift from heaven. You find the hairs on the back of your neck standing up each time her voice rises to hit the high notes. Personally, I have to keep reminding myself that she is only 12 YEARS OLD! Equally impressive is the way she conducts herself when she is being interviewed. Her parents probably don’t get the credit they deserve for making her the beautiful human being that we see on the stage. Jackie, God bless you and your family because you have brought so much joy into the lives of MILLIONS of people around the world.

  • James

The DVD is being released tomorrow 9/13/11

  • JaninMichigan

I just watched Jackie Evancho’s first concert, on WCMU Public TV Michigan……just beautiful singer and only 10yrs old….http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKhmFSV-XB0
I thought maybe I could post an excerpt from her concert on facebook is why I came to the
WCMU site but they won’t post it…..they want us all to donate to them to support their programing I guess. $75and you get her CD….of the concert………
    Just an awesome voice……

  • Bob C

Jackie is supremely talented. That said, when I tune into GP I would rather see a mature artist. When I see a ten year old on being promoted in this fashion, I cannot help but think of “Toddler and Tiaras” or other such child exploitation shows. Jackie would be better served continuing to study, and enjoying growing up like a normal kid. She has obviously worked very hard, but this country is filled with world-class musicians who have put in the time and sacrifice in the real world — those should be the ones we put on display.

  • Maritza

She is amazing, the first time I heard this wonderful child, I just could not believe she is just 10 years old. I am a big fan of hers, Congratulations little girl, God bless you.

  • Katina

I could not believe that sound was coming from such a little person. I will be buying her album. I shared with all my friends on fb. Wow.

  • Fred Brown

At age 8 little Jackie Evancho was known as ‘the Ave Maria Girl’ as she sang in churches around Pittsburgh
At age 9 she sang at many events throughout the city, Produced her first album, and became ‘the Princes of Pittsburgh’. Jackie sang several full concerts that year as a 4th grader.
Early in her 10th year she was sought after to sing the National Anthem at several major sporting events.
Jackie had to give-up singing with Tim Janis at Madison Square Garden when AGT called.
If you add it all up, you will find she was the REAL winner of season 5 as she won the hearts of Amercia.
NOW Jackie doesn’t have to compeat with anyone. She is in a class by herself. She asks the Master Designer to go out on the stage and sing with her – - – and HE does. So – Jackie sings for the glory of GOD. We are witnesses to the Message of the Creator. Listen-up folks – - This may be the last Angel HE sends.

Craig, your adding the bit that says that ’she sings with God’ hits the most resonance with me. It brought me to tears, and it is very likely the case! To scientist as I am, I don’t invoke God lightly but something certainly happened here as she arrives on the scene just when we really need her and as a beautiful young girl. Somehow the DNA lined up to bring her to us, and that may well be God’s doing. don’t you think?
    Thanks to you Craig,

  • CRW

We don’t need to wait, and we must trust her family to keep her grounded, as that will certainly be needed. Prayers to that end will not do any harm and could help. Please give her space.

  • CRW

We don’t need to wait for her to attain adulthood, and we must trust her obvious instincts and very capable family to keep her grounded, as that will likely be needed given the extreme pressure of our material oriented world. Prayers to that end will not do any harm and could help. Please give her space.

  • John LeClercq

I accidentally tuned in on Public Television and to my utter amazement, I see this young girl singing, but coming through the speakers I heard such a beautiful voice. It was most profound and brought such a flow of emotion that I could not hold back the tears of joy.

  • JOHN MATERKA

JACKIE IS GOD’S GIFT TO THE WORLD..I AM PROUD TO HAVE LIVED THE FIRST SEVEN YEARS , OF MY 93,,IN THE PITTSBURG AREA, THE HALLOWED GROUND OF JACKIE AND HER WONDERFUL FAMILY…
I PRAY THAT I LIVE TO SEE JACKIE ACNIEVE THE PEAK OF HER CAREER…
GOD, PLEASE GUIDE AND PROTECT YOUR GIFT FROM HEAVEN….AMEN

I bought the CD/DVD set of the Dream with Me Concert ($19). It is worth the extra money to get the DVD. 100 times better than just the CD alone. Another note: Target is selling two versions of the CD. The more expensive version ($15.99) has 18 songs and was recorded in a studio so sounds a little different that the concert version. She has also given a few of the songs different endings too. Her song “Angel”, has a different portion in the middle that sounds a little country western. I definitely like the four additional songs and most of the studio changes, but I still prefer a few of the concert version songs over the studio versions: “Nessun Dorma”, “Nella Fantasia” and “That’s All I Ask of You” come to mind.

Witnessed Adele perform lots of times. Just brilliant!

  • Marie Saldivar

The first time I heard Jackie sing on America’s God Talent I believed that God was manifesting Himself
through this little girl, not only her voice, but her whole being. May many find rest for their souls as they
listen to this “angel” sing words of hope and love, as guided by Our Creator. My prayer is that Jackie will continue to listen to her Creator, and keep on spreading love and light as she sings her heart out and
enrich us all. May God continue to bless and protect her and her family as they deal with all that will
come their way in this music business. “Be of good courage”- God be with you always.

  • John ADOPLPH

I believe in angels and Jackie was send to this earth to remind us about peace, love, sharing ,caring ,and spread peace, to remind us to love each other. God blessed all of us by bringing you onto this earth.
Bless your little soul,,we all love you./

Her CD Dream With Me has a purity of beauty that is rare beyond words. Her take on Impossible Dream is a joy to listen to.

  • Joe Diamond

As a devout opera buff for most of my 91 years on this planet, I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed a voice more than the one coming out of that beautiful little mouth of Jackie Evancho! If you don’t choke up each time she sings, as I have, then you’re either deaf….or dead. Welcome to the sorority of Maria Callas, Lilly Pons and other greats. You truly have been heaven-sent!

  • Tom Vandenberg

I’ve been smitten by Jackie. I, too, cannot help getting goosebumps and tears when I watch the many YouTube videos on line of her AGT performances, her spots on QVC and QVC UK, Oprah Winfrey, The View, and many other TV shows as well as some of her concert appearances. When I saw her on PBS’ Great Performances TV broadcast, I appreciated her but didn’t fully realize her exceptional talent until I watched these internet videos. That prompted me to buy a decent seat when she performed in Sacramento on March 28th. It was worth EVERY penny! The atmosphere was electric! Her voice carried beautifully throughout the large Community Center auditorium. She got standing ovations throughout. Absolutely magnificent! I think she brings out the best in people, and they reciprocate in kind. As Jackie has said in some interviews, she feels that her voice comes from God. I have to agree. We are witnessing an extremely rare event–one that may come only once in a 100 years. I am happy to be alive to be among the witnesses of this remarkable talent and spirit.

  • Masa

I watched Jackie perform at the Orpheum two nights ago. She was wonderful. They were taping the concert for another PBS Special Great Performances to air in August. Between songs, she would wave with two hands at the audience and the audience would wave back at her (sometimes with two hands). She made several wardrobe changes. When she sang Music of the Night from Phantom, she was wearing a tuxido type outfit. Her brother Jacob joined her on stage to sing a duet. She took the time to thank her mother for allowing her to pursue her dream of singing. At one moment, she was so happy that she started to twirl around. the audience celebrated the moment with her. The program was 3 1/2 hours long of songs from movies: What A Wonderful World, Some Enchanted Evening, Love Theme, When I Fall In Love, The Music Of the Night, Pure Imagination, The Summer Knows, Come What May, My Heart Will Go On, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Reflection, and I See The Light.

  • ssilver

Conrad has a Wikipedia page, if you want more information about him.

  • Naysayer

She IS lip syncing. I’d love to here from any orchestra member who values truth.
I’m watching it on dvr. There is no doubt.
That’s why close ups last for only a few secs at a time.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves for
    Exploiting this girl.

  • Tunanorth

    Dear Naysayer;
I have seen Jackie Evancho’s “live” performances 5 times, usually from the front row.
At the taping of the PBS “Orpheum” concert, I was in the 3rd row-center; sitting directly behind the producer’s wife.
There is no doubt that she was singing absolutely “live”; with no autotune, lip-synch, playback, or other electronic BS.
You should be ashamed of yourself for making such an accusation just because you have a cheap/old/defective/crummy DVR.

  • whyheelitism

    Naysayer, you’re embarassing yourself here.

  • whytheelitism

Naysayer, do me a favor and watch her appearance on the NPR Tiny Desk Concert series. Go to youtube at watch?v=uN1km_3J2us

I’d be interested to hear follow up comments from you, but of course, you won’t be posting again. In the short time I’ve been following Evancho’s career, I’ve noticed that all of the people who claim “fake!” never ever post an apology or retraction, no matter how ludicrous their original claims have proven to be. You’d think one of you people would at least follow up with a “I guess I was wrong” to save a little face, but I guess it’s simply easier to slink away an anonymous fooll.

  • whytheelitism

Still curious as to your response, Naysayer. This is your big moment. You can represent and do proud all the music experts that routinely scream “fake!”

This is another great clip I found of Evancho singing “O Holy Night” in sub-degree weather in a 2010 Pittsburgh parade. It’s at Youtube. watch?v=bnH09i5YIi4

It’s really amazing how Evancho and the fat opera singer who she hides in her coat and carries around with her at all times were able to coordinate the part at 1:17 when it looks like Evancho’s voice catches in her throat. Evancho mimes it perfectly. It almost seems as if she’s really singing.

I’m also really impressed how Evancho’s current touring voice sounds like a matured and deepened version of her 2010/2011 voice. It’s amazing they had the foresight to hire another child prodigy who happened to be able to sing in an operatic style, so that the fake voice would age right along with Jackie. It’s also great that they are able to hide this child in Evancho’s pants pocket so that it looks like Evancho is singing for every talk show appearance, every impromptu acapella song she breaks into during an interview, every rehearsal that bootleggers capture and post on the internet, etc. It makes the whole ruse seem so realistic.

  • Patrick

Talent is talent, no matter the age. Don’t be bitter.

  • lvcbm

im not going to defend Naysayer and its upsetting to read anything negitive about jackie but ,the first time i watched her was the pbs orpheum concert. I had been watching for 5 min and thought she cant be singing “unbelievablle”. then thought this is pbs not a chance this girl is not singing. The voice coming from her is trully amazing and people who cant believe there is good in this world just cant seem to wait and post there negitivity . im so sorry for you. ive just lerned jackie will be performing 2 shows in vegas and ill be at one of them . thanks jackie and family ill be the guy with tears and goosebumps. see you there! (never heard clasicle singing before jackie,WOW WAS I MISSING OUT)

  • Tom Testa

Jackie Evancho is a prodigy. Anyone with any musical experience should recognize it. Some might consider her to be treading on toes in a grown up entertainment industry. She not only mixes in but belongs there. Her talents are far too mature and advanced for the children who constantly listen to the mediocre pop music created by Hollywood these days. It is refreshing to hear a young entertainer with such exceptional talent. May she enjoy many, many years of accolades as she gracefully matures into an adult entertainer. For now, she is the Princess of Pittsburgh.

Those who are critical of young Jackie might consider cutting her some slack. After all, she is only a child (soon to become a teenager), succeeding in a highly competitive industry, and raising the bar very high for her adult competition. Prodigies always break the rules in order to evolve at their pace, not yours.

I look forward to listening to her perform in her next PBS Special, whenever that may be.

  • Robert

What a gift to the world. Dropped into this madness comes an angel. God bless her and I hope for her to have a wonderful life. She is an unreal talent, that can bring a tear or two to the eyes, with her unbelievable control and range. Bravo!!!

  • Robert

My thoughts exactly. I’m an old rock listener, but by mistake late one night, I awoke to Pavarotti singing on PBS. I thought also of what I’d been missing. The same thoughts came from listening to Miss Evancho. That type of music is from the heart, and can really touch you! I still like some of the classic rock, but will always listen to Opera. And will buy music by Miss Evancho. Wow, that young lady is fantastic!

  • Robert

Hopefully by now you must know you were wrong. She is for real. To many people are around her for deception, And she deserves better than that.

  • bigguns

@ naysayer, you absolutely correct. Most PBS performances are lip synced. This is order to keep production value up. One way to tell and not just the bad sync job is the physical exertions to perform on stage under a spot light, most performers would be dripping with sweat by the second or third song. And people will say I was their and heard them..yes they’re singing along like Beyonce did with the SPB. Austin City limits is the only PBS program that is not lip synced. Plus another tell is zero mistakes, no missed notes, no off key pitches just YouTube live performance of these singer and it is much different outcome.

  • david ernst

    Dear Bigguns,

None of the performances in either Jackie Evancho concert are lip synced. They are all recorded live on the shoot. All of our shows are professionally mixed in post-production and this sometimes leads viewers to believe that these concerts were pre-recorded but they are not.

    Hope this helps,
    GP Team
